A few of my favorite LOCAL places:

THE GRAMPIANS, VIC – My second home, I love it here for so many reason; but mostly the air, it’s so clean and crisp. The walks are all beautiful and the climbs are varied, you can go easy or tough whatever level of fitness there is a walk for you. The wildlife here is in abundance, Emu’s, Deer, Kangaroo galore and so many beautiful birds. My place to stay is Lakeside Tourist Park Halls Gap, the staff here are so friendly, the kids love it as much as I do with loads of trampolines, a heated (wood fire) swimming pool, fire pits for cozy nights and excellent amenities. This is my weekend getaway that I never want to leave.

WILSONS PROM, VIC – If it’s the coast you prefer, what better place to explore than Wilson’s Prom, from the spectacular granite mountains to beautiful soft sandy beach, Wilson’s Prom is Nature at its finest. You can trek from Tidal River to Squeaky Beach and back and see the true beauty of the prom. There are plenty of walks and an abundance of wildlife here too. A place you will certainly be in touch with nature.

If you want to venture further afield my Top Spots are:

NSW – Emerald Beach (Coffs Harbour, coastal walks, cliff top views covered in kangaroos, simply stunning)

NSW – Shoal Bay (Nelson Bay – Fingal Bay – stunning everywhere you look)

QLD – Mission Beach (No thrills council CP is on the beach and half the cost of the big one next door)

QLD – Cairns Coconut Resort (you will just want to stay at the resort)

NT –  Mataranka (The swimming here is stunning!)

NT – Darwin (There is so much to do, make sure to visit the Mindil Market on a Thursday 5-10pm)

WA – Zebra Rock Mine (Seasonal – $10 adults, Kids 14 under Free unpowered but totally awesome!

SA – The Nullarbor (The Nullarbor roadhouse could feed an army with 1 meal, I love the remoteness here)

SA – Victor Harbor (The Horse-drawn tram to Granite Island is fun for the entire family, lovely little town)

I could go on and on with places to visit; feel free to ask questions for any particular area, if we’ve been there I’m happy to share our knowledge.
